Benefits

  • Seat Experience

During your time as a trainee, you will be allocated to four seats from a range of practice areas, each one lasting for six months. In each seat, you will be assisting the whole department and will be exposed to a wide variety of matters.

No two days will be the same as, for example, you will gain court experience, attend client meetings, complete research for various projects, attend social events with clients and other contacts, attend seminars or write articles for our newsletters and blogs.

  • Training

From day one you will be given the opportunity to work on your own matters, under the guidance of a supervising partner or fee-earner. Training really does start from the moment you step through the door on your first day and continues throughout the two years you spend with us completing your training contract.

At Edwin Coe, we offer professional support throughout your career and have an established development programme for all our fee-earners.

  • Our Lawyers

Many of our partners are involved at a high level in professional bodies and associations, or are contributors and authors of established legal texts.

A considerable number of our partners and senior solicitors are also ranked in the two leading legal directories, Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, ensuring you are learning from the some of the best lawyers within the legal industry.

  • Social

Although you will have a busy workload, we offer various opportunities throughout the year to meet and socialise with the rest of the firm.

We have a cup winning football team, a fearsome netball team, cricketers and a social committee team to arrange a whole host of staff social events.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

We fully support our commitment to CSR with a number of ongoing events and initiatives throughout the year. We also encourage every person in the firm to take a day off to provide volunteer services to the community. For further information please see our CSR area.
