Graduate Recruitment
Edwin Coe is refreshingly different. Our business combines the personal and responsive service of a boutique with the sophistication and quality legal advice of a large firm.
As a result, we are looking for high calibre, ambitious, personable, and innovative candidates to join our graduate training programme. We consider our trainees to be the future partners of our firm which is why we are committed to providing the best training opportunities in a supportive and collaborative learning environment with an emphasis on responsibility from the outset and exposure to exceptional clients and legal work throughout.
We take pride in our inclusive environment, celebrating our varied backgrounds and individuality because we recognise that diverse teams make better decisions, and a more diverse and equitable business will drive more innovative and creative solutions for our clients.
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee, consisting of a number of individuals from across the firm, helps us drive forward our commitment to encouraging DEI amongst our workforce, our environment and our practices.
Our Graduate Programme
Our Graduate Programme is specifically tailored so that you get the optimum experience whilst training with Edwin Coe. Our aim is for you to broaden your skills and gain exposure to different areas of the firm. You will work alongside experienced colleagues and will be closely supervised in order for you to receive early feedback which will assist with your development.
Our goal is to provide you with the tools necessary to become a competent and confident solicitor, therefore our Graduate Programme is designed to develop your knowledge and technical skills as part of your everyday routine, providing you with many opportunities to apply your knowledge and skills to real work situations.
We want you to obtain the best experience and enjoyment from the programme.
Your contribution
We expect you to make the most of this fantastic opportunity, working alongside busy colleagues. Whilst this often involves working hard to meet crucial deadlines and helping the firm to meet its business objectives, we adopt a sensible approach to work-life balance and we provide plenty of opportunities for you to network and socialise with your peers.
Choosing Edwin Coe
We are an inclusive, friendly, and supportive firm whose priorities are People, Purpose and Profit. Whilst our beautiful traditional offices are set in historic Lincoln’s Inn, our culture is current and creative, making Edwin Coe a great place to work and a popular choice for potential trainees. We have a high retention rate year on year and several of our current Senior Associates and Partners completed their training with us. Training
From day one you will be given the opportunity to work on your own matters, under the guidance of a supervising partner or fee-earner.
