Our expertise in this area is based on our involvement in a number of IT outsourcing arrangements both from a customer perspective and on behalf of suppliers of outsourced services. These have ranged from full IT sourcing deals where all or a large part of a businesses IT function is being outsourced to a supplier to arrangements where a more limited number of functions are being outsourced. This has included outsourcing/contracting out of the following functions:
- website hosting
- Search Engine Marketing (including SEO services)
- the helpdesk and call centres
- data centres/cloud services
- testing and verification
- applications support and maintenance
- application development
- project management
- business continuity and disaster recovery.
Apart from IT outsourcing we have also been involved in the outsourcing of other business processes such as HR, payroll, manufacturing, testing and validation, sales and marketing and market research.
Depending on the nature and scope of the outsourcing arrangement our team is likely to include lawyers from our employment, property, commercial, tax and competition teams and we have a great deal of experience of co-ordinating advice from different disciplines and working together as a team on projects of all sizes.
