The IT team has a great deal of experience in assisting clients with online and social media issues.
We regularly deal with and advise on a range of issues arising online or out of social media sites including data protection and privacy issues, defamation and malicious falsehood, advertising issues including in relation to the unauthorised use of names and images, the posting and threatened posting of pornography or other offensive materials, copyright infringement (e.g. in relation to the unauthorised posting of photographs, music or films) and breach of acceptable use policies.
We are always keen to help our clients to be pro-active and to act before an issue arises by regularly reviewing website, and social media policies, practices and terms and conditions
