Since receiving Royal Assent in April 2022, the Building Safety Act (“BSA”) has massively altered the construction industry. Yet, arguably it is this autumn when the most impactful changes will be introduced as the Building Safety Regulatory takes up its role as the building control authority for all higher-risk buildings, and the new building regulation gateway regime comes into force.

Brenna Baye, Construction Partner at Edwin Coe will be joined by Neil Hope-Collins, Operational Inspector from Healthy and Safety Executive who will be providing an overview of the Building Safety Regulator, detailing its roles and functions both during construction and occupation. He will also explain the gateway regime, speaking to the practicalities of how to progress through the gateways.
