Joanne McIvor to speak at the National Property Law Conference 2023

Property Partner, Joanne McIvor has been invited to be a speaker by The Law Society at their National Property Law Conference 2023.

Joanne’s session is titled: Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) and Green Leases.

Our speakers will share practical advice and guidance on changes to EPC ratings and what that means for your clients. They will discuss the solicitors duty to advise on EPC matters and the government’s proposals on improving commercial energy efficiency to 2030 and beyond and possible outcomes for the property market, looking at the forthcoming UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard and EPC A+. The panel will also delve into Green Lease drafting and consider the tenant perspective, as well as the new Green Lease Toolkit which is currently being reviewed by the Better Buildings Partnership (BBP) and a revised version is set to be published in 2023.
