Edwin Coe is delighted to be hosting a Summer History Walk entitled “Two forward, one back — How and where women won the vote” on 29 August 2018.

Author and historian, Carol Harris, will be the guide on a walk through key sites in Bloomsbury (a short stroll from our offices) where the leaders of the campaign for women’s suffrage lived, worked and are commemorated. It includes Millicent Fawcett’s home, the headquarters of the WSPU, led by Emmeline Pankhurst, and St Georges’ Bloomsbury where thousands lined the streets to see Emily Davison’s funeral cortege.

The walk will last about 1 hour 45 minutes and afterwards there will be the opportunity to network over drinks and snacks at The Old Bank of England, Fleet Street.

A small donation from each ticket sale will be made to the children’s charity, Coram.
