Edwin Coe’s Tax team grows with the addition of a Partner

Edwin Coe is delighted to announce Morag Ofili has joined the Tax team as a Partner.  Morag is a Barrister who is able to provide a wide range of private client litigation and contentious tax services ranging from tribunal litigation and cross-border tax investigations, to trust and estate disputes, fraud, judicial review and professional negligence claims. In addition to contentious work, Morag is also able to advise clients (predominantly in sports, film and entertainment) on their business interests and any possible tax risks when structuring their affairs around the world.

Morag will support the Tax team with the anticipated dispute workload brought on by changes in tax policies following the newly elected Labour Government in July 2024.   The new government’s tax policies will present significant implications for tax advisors, with an anticipated emphasis on closing tax loopholes and enhancing compliance measures, tax specialists are likely to see a surge in cases involving complex tax disputes and audits.

Morag joins Edwin Coe from Harbottle & Lewis where she worked as a Managing Associate. She is recommended by Legal 500 and Spear’s 500 (Top Recommended) as well as ranked in Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide. She has featured in eprivateclient: Top 35 under 35 and has previously been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award at the Taxation and ‘We Are the City’ Awards.
