Three Intellectual Property Partners honoured in World IP Review Leaders Directory 2025

Edwin Coe is pleased to announce that Intellectual Property Partners Simon Miles (also Head of our Intellectual Property team), Claire Lehr, and Nick Phillips, have once again been recognised as leaders in the World Intellectual Property Review’s (WIPR) Leaders Directory for 2025. Simon has been featured since 2016, while Nick and Claire joined the list in 2023.

Simon advises on all aspects of intellectual property and has a wealth of experience advising on trade marks, copyright (including software), designs, database rights, patents, and breach of confidence.

Claire’s practice covers both contentious and non-contentious aspects of trade marks. She assists clients throughout the entire process, from searching for trade marks to handling applications and achieving registration. She has successfully overcome challenging objections and managed complex multi-jurisdictional oppositions. Increasingly, she advises on infringement and passing off cases.

Nick has considerable experience advising clients on the implementation of the GDPR and on other data protection issues. He also regularly advises on a range of e-commerce, domain name, intellectual property, and internet-related issues, as well as on a wide variety of IT contracts. Nick also regularly advises on the protection, exploitation, and enforcement of the full range of intellectual property rights.

The WIPR Leaders Directory serves as a comprehensive guide to the top IP practitioners globally. Candidates are nominated by fellow IP professionals and subsequently vetted by the WIPR research team.

The Directory is available here, where you can view Simon, Claire, and Nick’s profiles.
