HR Support, Employment Contracts & Policies

When it comes to employment contracts, policies and procedures for a business it is not the case that “one size fits all”.
Whilst it may be possible to get low-cost, off-the-shelf documents, we often have businesses come to us with a later issue where the template contracts were not fit for purpose.

We take the time to understand the business and its operational needs, tailoring employment documents so that they are appropriate to the business and to the individual roles, whether for permanent employees, fixed-term employees, term-time employees, part-time employees, apprentices or casual workers.

As well as ensuring that employment contracts and policies reflect the legal requirements, we will ensure that they provide the necessary protection for the business in terms of confidential information and protection against competition, solicitation of clients and poaching of key staff post-termination.

Our involvement in creating these documents at the pre-employment stage will save the business further cost in the long term. Where a business is planning to introduce contractual changes for existing staff, we are able to assist with this complicated process, the documentation and consultation with staff.

We appreciate that those in HR roles and those with the responsibility of HR matters will be dealing with many aspects of their workforce and we are able to support the HR function in all employment law related matters from recruitment through to terminations, cutting through complex and wordy employment legislation and Codes of Practice to provide practical solutions and guidance on day to day HR matters.

We can be contacted for ad hoc HR advice and are at the end of the phone to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions, often becoming trusted advisers to business.

Round-tables
We appreciate that those in HR roles, particularly at a senior level, will want to chat something through with their peers in HR roles or that they simply wish to get a handle on what other HR practitioners or those who deal with HR matters are doing to address a particularly tricky aspect of proposed new legislation, for example. We run round-tables for HR professionals who should contact us if they are interested in attending. After a brief presentation by members of the Team on the particular topic, the event will provide an opportunity for free discussion (following Chatham House rules) amongst a small group in similar HR roles.
