William Edwards from our Private Client team recently spoke to The Sunday Times Money supplement as part of their new years’ guide to getting your life in order, about why it makes sense to appoint someone who could step in to manage your money in the event of illness, accident or unforeseen circumstances.

William said: “It is really important to have a power of attorney in place. Without it, managing someone’s affairs becomes a nightmare. But the process is fraught with danger, especially doing it yourself online, and it is vital to appoint people you trust.

He added: “Don’t leave it too late. If you really want to have control of your finances it is something you should put in place while you can.”
