The Intellectual Property team has considerable expertise in all areas of IP including trade marks, patents, copyright and design rights, know-how, technology agreements, and preparing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements and advising on IP matters in the context of M&A.
Our dedicated group of trade mark specialists comprising solicitors, trade mark attorneys, and formalities staff have a wealth of experience in relation to the protection of brands. Our team was strengthened by the addition of the trade mark and designs team from Alexander Ramage Associates in May 2015.
Department head, Simon Miles, and Partner, Maggie Ramage sit on the Governing Council of The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA). Maggie is a past President of ITMA.
Simon is also the legal advisor to the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and sits on the Council of this organisation.
