Edwin Coe pledges to champion early detection and vital support for women through new charity partnership with Target Ovarian Cancer
We are proud to announce Target Ovarian Cancer as our new official charity partner, following a firmwide vote led by our Charities and Community Committee. The two‑year partnership will focus on raising awareness, supporting early diagnosis initiatives, and helping the charity expand its reach across the UK.
Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity, working to create a world where ovarian cancer doesn’t limit life. Every year, 4,200 women lose their lives to ovarian cancer, often because of a late diagnosis. When ovarian cancer is caught at the earliest stage, nine in ten women will survive. Yet currently, two-thirds of women are diagnosed late, when the cancer is harder to treat. Through life-saving early diagnosis programmes, awareness campaigns and advocacy at the highest levels of government, Target Ovarian Cancer is driving change so that more women are diagnosed earlier and faster, improving survival outcomes.
Target Ovarian Cancer also provides vital support services for women and their loved ones, so that nobody faces a diagnosis alone. Through the UK’s only specialist nurse-led support line, peer support communities and trusted health information and online resources, Target Ovarian Cancer supports women in navigating treatment and life beyond diagnosis.
Matthew Barnett and Claire Lehr, Co‑Heads of the Charities and Community Committee at Edwin Coe, said:
“We are delighted to announce Target Ovarian Cancer as Edwin Coe’s new charity partner. This decision came directly from our people, and we are proud to support a charity operating in an area of women’s health that has been under-funded, under-researched, and too often overlooked.
Target Ovarian Cancer is a smaller charity, but its impact is profound. Our support can help them go further: raising symptom awareness, improving early diagnosis, and ensuring that women and families across the UK have access to the information and care they urgently need.
As a B Corp, we are committed to meaningful action. This partnership embodies our values as a firm – being collaborative, committed and connected – to drive positive change where it is most needed.”
Catherine Hart, Chief Executive of Target Ovarian Cancer, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Edwin Coe for choosing Target Ovarian Cancer as its charity partner. Lasting change for women with ovarian cancer can only happen through partnership, and we are excited to work together to raise awareness, accelerate progress and ensure more women receive the diagnosis, treatment and support they deserve. We look forward to the impact we can achieve together.”
