How a trust can help cut inheritance tax

Families facing sizeable inheritance tax bills on their estates are looking for ways to leave more money to relatives, William Edwards from our Private Client team recently spoke to the Sunday Times Money Supplement on how trusts can be used as an effective means of estate planning.

William said: “If done properly trusts work very well for tax planning, so we have seen increased interest from clients. They can also make a huge difference to a family and avoid any unnecessary disputes and unhappiness, especially if the family structure is not straightforward.
