Edwin Coe is delighted to announce that David Greene yesterday took up the role of President of The Law Society. He won the Law Society’s presidential election for 2018 and was appointed as deputy vice president in July 2018, becoming vice president in 2019 and now president in 2020. The Law Society’s president represents the organisation at home and abroad and is chair of their Council.

David is the firm’s Senior Partner and Head of Group Action Litigation. He led the Article 50 Brexit litigation in 2016 and has worked on group actions in the UK since the 1988 Lockerbie bombing. He has for many years advised sovereign states on disputes in international tribunals and particularly specialises in work involving governments in sub-Saharan Africa advising on civil justice and human rights.
