Two Edwin Coe lawyers named in the 2024 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders List
Edwin Coe is delighted to announce that Morag Ofili, a Barrister – Partner in our Tax team and Toni Recchia, an Associate in our Private Client team, have been named in the respected eprivateclient NextGen Leaders List 2024.
Sean Bannister, Head of Tax, comments: “Congratulations to both – Morag joined the Tax practice at Edwin Coe earlier this year, and it is plain to see from the quality of the service and advice she offers to her clients, why she has been recognised by eprivateclient for a second time. As the tax landscape becomes increasingly complex for private clients, Morag’s experience in tax risk advisory, tax litigation, commercial litigation and professional negligence is a valuable asset for the team. I would like to thank our clients and referrers for supporting Morag and Toni’s nominations.”
Matthew Barnett, Head of Private Client UK “It is wonderful to see Morag and Toni being recognised on this prestigious list. This is a well-deserved honour for Toni who is developing into a skilled private client adviser whose technical ability and interpersonal skills are proving invaluable to her clients.”
The publication of the 2024 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders (previously called the Top 35 Under 35 award) is the definitive annual list of leading young private client practitioners in the UK and UK Crown Dependencies. To be considered on the NextGen Leaders List, you must have 17 years or less of industry experience from within the private client advisory professions: private client property tax, trust, dispute resolution and family lawyers, accountants, or trustees.
Judging by the senior editorial team at PAM Insight is based on the qualities and achievements of the individual. Other factors considered included the reputation or performance of the company that the nominee works for, feedback from superiors, as well as trajectory of promotion/business development success and age (i.e. younger individuals achieving relatively senior positions). At the same time, the judging panel also consider volunteering outside of work or mentoring and advocacy within the industry.
