Zoë Deckker
Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Zoë completed a degree in English and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford, where she also completed a Master of Studies in Modern Languages before going on to gain early legal experience.
Zoë joined the firm in June 2025. She values the Construction team’s commitment to delivering practical, commercial solutions within the construction sector and expertise in emerging areas of construction law, including building safety and cladding remediation.
Zoë’s work focuses on non-contentious construction, and particularly the early stages of the lifecycle of a construction project. Her work includes:
- Building Contracts: drafting, negotiating, and advising on suites of construction contracts, working with JCT Contracts in particular.
- Professional Appointments: working on the engagement of members of project teams by way of both standard and bespoke appointments.
- Building Safety: assisting applicants of the Building Safety Fund and Cladding Safety Scheme with Pre-Construction Services Agreements and other construction documents.
- Ancillary Documents: drafting, negotiating, and advising on all manner of ancillary construction documents such as collateral warranties and parent company guarantees.
Alongside the Construction team, Zoë undertakes this work on behalf of a variety of clients, and she particularly enjoys understanding the unique profile of each project.
