Brendan O’Shea
He has extensive experience of dealing with a high volume of Intestacy cases which can be considered problematic and involve issues not normally encountered in a standard probate practice. In almost all cases, the deceased did not leave a Will or have any known relatives.
He has been instructed in estates requiring the re-sealing of foreign grants in the UK, MANX Letters of Administration, Inheritance (Provisions for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 disputes and Financial Ombudsman Services claims. As a result, he has a significant range of experience in Intestate Estates.
In his practice Brendan advises administrators and executors on:
Probate & Estate Administration: Assisting and guiding administrators and executors on all aspects on the estate administration from securing the property, identifying previously unknown beneficiaries, verifying family trees, HMRC tax compliance and the distribution of estates amongst multiple beneficiaries.
Brendan takes a pragmatic approach to often problematic estates in order guide the administrator and executor through often unchartered waters that can appear challenging in the early stages of an estate.
