This roundtable examines the rise of a multi-money market in which tokenised bank deposits, stablecoins and tokenised e-money coexist alongside crypto-native platforms increasingly operating as full-service financial institutions.

The discussion will explore how traditional banks are integrating blockchain rails, highlighted by Lloyds Banking Group’s tokenised deposit transaction settling a digital UK Gilt, and what this signals for on-chain settlement using trusted bank money. In parallel, speakers will assess the growing role of stablecoins and exchanges such as Coinbase, whose recent expansion into stocks, prediction markets, derivatives and on-chain applications, alongside its stated ambition to become an “everything exchange” from 2026, points to a convergence of banking, trading and market infrastructure.

Participants will consider whether these developments represent competition between banks and crypto-native platforms or the potential for new partnerships and what this evolving Money Multiverse means for payments, liquidity and market access as new forms of digital money move into the mainstream.
