The Legal 500 UK 2021 legal directory has recently launched. This year, after extensive research and feedback from clients and contacts, their researchers have recommended our work in 15 categories. Across our practices, our lawyers are recommended 41 times by Legal 500 in the editorial, with David Goepel (Personal tax, trusts and probate) retaining his ranking as ‘Leading Individuals’. Our Senior Partner, David Greene is a new ‘Leading Individual’ and Zahira Hussain is ranked a ‘Next Generation Partner’, both in the Commercial litigation: mid-market category, where they are described as having ‘Excellent strength in depth across the full range of commercial fields.’

Our Commercial Litigation team were recommended for Mid-Market matters whilst our Insurance Litigation team were ranked for policyholders and Professional Negligence. Where one contact stated ‘Edwin Coe just about invented claims against insurance brokers – without a doubt it has more experience of successfully pursuing such claims than any other firm. They are also effective in acting for SMEs and individuals in claims against other professionals, particularly lawyers.’

In the Private Client sector, the team was recommended for Personal tax, trusts and probate along with Charities and not-for-profit. One client commented ‘The firm that really does go the extra yard. Our Property team, ‘Knowledgeable, diligent, accessible’ were recommended for Commercial Property: corporate occupiers; Property Finance and also Property Litigation.
