International Sportsperson Visas
The International Sportsperson visa is available to elite athletes who are recognised as being at the highest level of their sport on an international scale.
This route also extends to qualified sports coaches accompanying elite sportspersons in the UK.
Prior to applying, individuals must obtain an endorsement from the relevant sporting governing body, confirming that their proposed employment in the UK will contribute to the development of their sport at the highest level.
The visa is available for periods of 12 months or longer, with different eligibility requirements – including the English language requirement – depending on the length of stay requested.
