Competition Disputes

Edwin Coe has been at the forefront of competition litigation in London for over two decades, acting under both the former Restrictive Practices Act and its successor, the Competition Act.
While much of our work in this field has been on behalf of claimants, we have also acted in landmark proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, including disputes with the domestic regulator, formerly the Office of Fair Trading, now the Competition and Markets Authority.

Our experience extends beyond traditional litigation in the High Court or CAT. We have represented clients in complex Market Inquiries conducted by the Competition Commission, now operating under the CMA, navigating the regulatory process with clarity and precision.

For claimants we are able to combine deep sector knowledge with a sophisticated understanding of litigation finance. This enables us to offer tailored funding solutions, including contingent arrangements, third party funding and adverse costs insurance, allowing clients to pursue their claims with confidence and strategic flexibility.

What we do best:
  • Litigation Finance

Providing tailored financial support options for clients.

  • High Profile Litigation

Our lawyers are recognised for their ability to handle high-profile competition litigation and are adept at navigating the complexities of such cases whether related to price-fixing, abuse of dominance or antitrust issues.

  • Complex Regulatory Disputes

Advising clients on the complexities of the Competition and Markets Authority and assisting clients through Market Inquiries.
