Clare joined the firm in 2022 as a Partner in the Employment Team. As a Partner, Clare aims to deliver considered strategic value to clients and enjoys working collaborating with other members of the Employment Team where relevant to achieve successful outcomes.

Clare appreciates that employment matters can be sensitive and is relied upon by her clients to advise them in internal processes and represent them in complex litigation.

 

Clare’s broad experience covers all aspects of the employment relationship to clients in a range of sectors. Clare’s experience is in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters acting for both corporates and senior executives.

Business Protection: Dealing with issues arising in connection with confidential information, team moves and post termination restrictions.

 

Board Matters: Preparation of Service Agreements and Letters of Appointment for directors, advising on disputes and exits.

 

Employment Status and Engaging Contractors: Advising on off-payroll working and IR35 implications in often complex labour supply chains including umbrella companies and employment intermediaries such as employment businesses.

 

Exits and Employment Tribunal Claims: Advising on processes and procedures to best protect a business, or prosecuting or defending claims that arise in the Employment Tribunal or High Court.

 

Recruitment Sector: Drafting terms of business with clients, terms of engagement for temps, umbrellas and contractors; employment contracts, and commission schemes for recruitment consultants.
