Lauren is an Associate in our Insurance Disputes team. She is detail-driven and collaborative, and takes pride in resolving complex issues with precision and care.
Lauren acts exclusively for policyholders in a wide range of complex insurance disputes. Over the past few years, Lauren has built up a particular expertise in Covid-19 Business Interruption claims and has been involved in much of the high-profile litigation on the matter. Part of Lauren’s practice also involves pursuing professional negligence claims against insurance brokers and other professionals.
Lauren joined the firm in September 2019 and qualified into the Insurance Disputes team in September 2021.
In her Insurance Disputes practice, Lauren advises policyholders on:
- Denial of Liability and Policy Avoidance by insurers: Considering and challenging policy declinature by insurers with a view to obtaining resolution of the matter if necessary through litigation, mediation or arbitration.
- Covid-19 Business Interruption claims: Reviewing policy wordings and analysing whether cover is available, including advising on any applicable limits or aggregating provisions.
- Professional Negligence claims against insurance brokers: Advising policyholders on potential claims against their insurance broker or other negligent third parties.

Lauren's experience includes:
Acting for two of the policyholders in the Gatwick Covid-19 business interruption test cases, and their subsequent appeals. The appeals were named one of The Lawyer’s Top 10 Appeals of 2025.
Acting for Corbin & King Ltd & Others in one of the first Covid-19 business interruption cases of market-wide significance.
Acting for a real estate fund manager in a claim against its insurance broker for negligent advice on the interaction between its Master Policy and local CAR policy.
Advising various clients on claims against insurance brokers for negligent advice on material damage and business interruption sums insured.
