James Davies

SENIOR ASSOCIATE
James is a Senior Associate in the Property Team who specialises in residential property with a particular focus on London and the Home Counties.

James is responsible for managing a number of long-standing client relationships and for supervising and developing the junior members of the residential property team.

 

Prime Residential Property: Advising high net worth individuals in relation to all of their residential property needs ranging from their principal homes through to their property investment portfolios.

 

Property Finance: Advising clients on all aspects of property finance including remortgages and equity release loans.

 

Property Development: Advising on the purchase of new build properties including off-plan purchases.

 

James also works closely with our Private Client and Tax teams to implement tax efficient property holding structures and assisting with the administration of estates including probate property sales. James joined Edwin Coe in 2015.

EXPERIENCE
James’s experience includes:
Advising an offshore trust in relation to the purchase of a number of properties in prime central London for refurbishment and redevelopment including the acquisition of the airspace above a residential block two create new flats. James also acted on the subsequent disposal of the properties.
Advising a family office in relation to sales and purchases and the management of their mixed portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
Advising a private individual in relation to the off-plan purchase of a flat in super prime central London including additional works to the property over and above the standard specification for the development.
Advising a buyer on the purchase of two adjoining flats in a new development including an agreement for the developer to amalgamate the two flats subject to obtaining the necessary consents.
Advising a family on the sale of a rural property and the connected sale of adjoining farmland including advice in relation to non-resident capital gains tax.
