Emily joined Edwin Coe in April 2025 and has over 8 years’ experience advising private clients. She specialises in estate administration and advising personal representatives and beneficiaries on all aspects of the administration of estates – from obtaining the grant of probate to administering and distributing high value estates including those involving complex Inheritance Tax issues and cross-border elements.
In her private client practice, Emily supports and advises personal representatives (executors and administrators), beneficiaries, families and individuals, with particular expertise in:
- Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration: navigating clients through the process of obtaining probate.
- Inheritance Tax and Asset Reporting: preparing detailed inheritance tax returns and liaising with HMRC to ensure full compliance.
- Estate Administration: managing all aspects of UK and cross-border estate administration including coordinating with other professional advisers where needed.
- Intestacy and complex family structures: advising on estates where no Will exists or where family dynamics require sensitive and strategic handling.
- Deeds of Variation: advising beneficiaries on post-death variations to achieve tax efficiency, redirect assets and support long-term estate planning objectives.
