The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) is an organisation of individual members. The Institute sets the professional and ethical standards for those who work in the handling of insurance claims. It also provides an examination structure that enables members to attain the highest professional qualifications in claims handling.
The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters Special Interest Groups
CILA created Special Interest Groups in 2005. The purpose was to enable all its members to be associated with those who are practising in, and have expertise in, one of the 11 specialist claims areas.
Edwin Coe is proud to be Lead Sponsor of the Claimant Special Interest Group (SIG).
Edwin Coe’s role is to provide support to the members of the SIG in the work they do in representing insureds in the preparation, presentation and settlement of their claims against insurers. Edwin Coe is available to advise members and their clients on all aspects of the claims process including policy interpretation, the enforceability of warranties and conditions precedent to liability, avoidance issues arising in relation to non-disclosure and technical aspects of quantifying claims.
