Edwin Coe is delighted to announce that Karen Lee has been promoted to Senior Associate within the Intellectual Property group.

Edwin Coe Head of Intellectual Property, Simon Miles, commented: “I am delighted for Karen, who is going from strength-to-strength, and who forms such an important part of the team.”

Karen joined Edwin Coe as a trainee in September 2009 and qualified into the Intellectual Property team in September 2011.

Karen advises on all aspects of intellectual property law, both contentious and non-contentious matters (including drafting assignments, licences and non-disclosure agreements), in the fields of trade marks, passing off, copyright, design rights, database rights and breach of confidence.

In addition, Karen regularly files trade mark and registered design applications at both a UK, EU and international level and manages and co-ordinates the clients’ trade mark and registered design portfolios. Her clients include individuals, companies, charities and international organisations in the fields of media and entertainment, advertising and sport, fashion and beauty, restaurants, electronics and education.

Karen speaks conversational Cantonese and is a regular contributor to the CITMA Review (The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys).
