Intellectual Property Partner, Nick Phillips was quoted in The Times today in relation to the trademark Infringement of using ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ against Disney and book dealer Mr Jake Fior.

Nick Phillips commented: “Disney appeared to be trying to argue that using the company’s name made the trademark distinctive. Disney will probably argue that it’s not an infringement because the word Disney makes it clear to everyone that it’s a Disney product.” And “if Mr Fior wants to stop them he would have to sue Disney in the US for trademark Infringement”.
