On 2 December 2020, Edwin Coe’s Construction team will be hosting a virtual drop-in surgery, providing advice on construction disputes including how to manage and resolve them following Lockdown 2.0.

If you are a developer, contractor, sub-contractor or a professional consultant and you have concerns in relation to the impact of COVID including how to minimise the resulting delay and cost, or need guidance on how to mitigate risk on site, we are offering free, confidential 15 minute sessions which will allow you to have an initial discussion about issues or growing concerns you have about your construction project.

We are happy to cover short-term or longer term issues that you might be facing on site as a direct impact of COVID.

Examples of previous topics include:

  • whether a developer was able to renegotiate existing contracts in light of COVID;
  • what happens following a contractor’s insolvency as a result of COVID;
  • who’s risk is the delay brought about by COVID; and
  • preparing for the future: should you consider the addition of a COVID specific clause now that COVID is no longer an unforeseeable event.
