Christina Fitzgerald appointed President of insolvency and restructuring trade body R3

Edwin Coe is delighted to announce that Christina Fitzgerald has been appointed the President of R3. R3 is the trade association for UK insolvency and restructuring professionals. Its role is to promote economic regeneration, resolve financial distress for businesses and individuals, save jobs, and create the confidence and public trust which underpin trading, lending and investment. In her new role, Christina will work with the R3 senior management team to help shape R3’s direction, as well as supporting its day-to-day operations.

Christina is a Partner within Edwin Coe’s Tier 1 Chambers UK-ranked Restructuring & Insolvency team and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. In her 30-year career in law, Christina has dealt with all aspects of contentious and non-contentious corporate and personal insolvency. She has particular expertise in advising troubled professional practices and distressed charities, not for profit organisations and corporate simplification.

Christina commented “I am looking forward to taking up the Presidency at such a critical time for insolvency and restructuring – and for R3. The ongoing economic challenges the UK faces, coupled with the Government’s review of our regulatory framework means the profession will be under a bright spotlight in the coming weeks and months.”
