Updated draft legislation – confirmation that the Non-Dom changes will be introduced
HM Government has this afternoon published confirmation that the draft legislation which was proposed as part of the original Finance Bill No 2 will be included in the second Finance Bill of 2017, subject to some minor amendments.
The uncertainty created by the removal of these clauses has been a significant issue for a number of taxpayers and the confirmation is more than welcome.
We will be reviewing the amendments and assessing their impact for clients and look forward to commenting further once we have had an opportunity to fully understand their impact.
