GLOBAL ALLIANCE OF LAW FIRMS – THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE SENTENCE FOR THE VICTIMS OF MADOFF
Members of The Global Alliance of Law Firms are holding a Press Conference at the offices of Edwin Coe LLP on Wednesday 1 July 2009 at 10.00am.
The press conference is being held in response to the sentencing of Madoff by a US Federal Court to 150 years imprisonment.
The Global Alliance will put forward its views in relation to how the sentence affects victims of the fraud, the options which are available to them in terms of recovering their monies, possible sources of support from financial institutions, and the lessons to be learned in order to prevent such a situation in the future.
The above mentioned information has been gathered by the 40 law firms situated in 23 countries, which are advising affected institutions and minority investors and which make up the Global Alliance of Law Firms.
