Michael read law at Cambridge University. He qualified in 1986 with a City firm, joined Edwin Coe in 1987 and became a partner in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in 1990. He is a member of the British Insurance Law Association.

Michael deals principally with claimant insurance litigation and specialises in liability and coverage disputes arising from fires, floods, thefts and other perils. In the field of insurance and reinsurance litigation for policy holders only Michael and his team have been ranked in tier one by Legal 500 Directory 2007. “Clients state that the “quality of service is very high and advice is unequivocal with a proper assessment of any potential risk attached.”

The remainder of Michael’s practice is concerned with general commercial litigation including professional negligence and large scale contractual disputes.
