Ruth joined Edwin Coe as a partner in December 2008. She was previously a partner at Fasken Martineau LLP (formerly Stringer Saul) having qualified as a solicitor in 1988.

Ruth's clients include high-net-worth individuals, new companies, charities and fully listed companies across a variety of business sectors including pharmaceutical, financial services, PR, marketing and research.

Ruth is experienced in providing practical and strategic advice on the range of issues which arise during employment and consultancy relationships including drafting of contracts and policies, disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancies, other dismissals and severance arrangements, wrongful, unfair dismissal and discrimination claims, as well as confidentiality and restrictive covenants. She has extensive experience of collective redundancies and corporate change and restructuring programmes. She is also experienced in dealing with boardroom disputes and executive terminations (from both sides of the fence!).

Ruth regularly advises on the employment aspects of acquisitions and mergers and provides practical guidance in relation to TUPE and outsourcing arrangements.

Ruth is a member of the Employment Lawyer's Association and the City Women's Network.
